I'm sorry but the more I read about Cooper and see highlights, I can't help but think she'll be our starting pg at some point next season! This girl brings a lot of skill sets we've been lacking in the pg position. The only thing questionable is her 3pt shot.

I am very glad to have her at Tennessee. She will become the best point guard in the SEC before her career is over. Cooper and Jordan Reynolds give us a dynamic duo at the point this coming season.

Declaring Cooper the best point guard in the SEC before she has played one college basketball game.

It is certainly possible that Cooper will be a highly ranked high school player who turns into a very average college player.

While anything is possible, it is highly unlikely that she turns out to be an average college player. Much more likely that she's SEC first team down the line with AA more probable than possible.

The vast majority of highly ranked high school players, regardless of sport, turn out to be very average college players.

I hope Cooper does not fall into that category. We will see.

While nobody is a sure thing, Prospect Nation has Cooper ranked #3 in her class. In 2014 they ranked A'ja Wilson #3 and in 2013 they had DeShields #3. I hope she turns out as average as those 2.
Just so that we understand each other, what do you consider "highly ranked" ? Top 20 ? Top 10 ? Top3?

She is defiantly cute with a great fashion sense. The one thing that I love about her is her intensity on defense. Kind of remind me of Skylar Diggins.

4 and 5 star players are highly ranked.

Mercedes Russell was ranked # 1 or # 2 over all. Yea, I know, she played hurt.

I will say this about Lady Vols fans, they sure are optimistic. I remember when Taber Spani arrived on the scene. Some Lady Vols fans said she was going to be a GREAT player.

You just never know how a player will turn out. Sometimes they turn out great and sometimes mediocre. Candace Parker and Maya Moore were ranked #1 out of high school but their skill set was so much greater than #1 players out of other classes so we will just have to wait and see.

Taber was definitely a very good player who could have been great. She was pretty strong and had a nice shot. I have yet to understand how she never got a shot in the WNBA at least in training camp. She definitely would be a serviceable backup player

Taber Spani was never ranked like a Candace Parker or a Tea Cooper. Believe she was probably about a Top 50 type player. Still a good player but not in their class.
