Per 247 Sports, the Sooners are tied for 7th in the Nation for team talent composite, determined by the number of stars of each player on the roster. Vols are ranked 17th. Sooners have looked sloppy so far, but they will be fired up and this will be a tough game. I still believe TN is the better TEAM with a better coach and better QB, so I'm still at 38-16 Vols.

Stars occur because of athletic ability and projected performance in college. It does not measure heart and coachability. I’ll take CJH’s 3 and 4 stars that he selected to play in his offense and defense over pure ability and star rating. I think we have a great team in all 3 phases of the game.

All this means is they can't be taken lightly, they have talent, and teams with talent can sometimes put it all together on a Saturday and beat most anybody, so we can't take them lightly. Some of our fans are taking them lightly but I don't think the team will.

I wonder how many "Fire CJH" posts we'll see if we lose? The ENTIRETY of Vol Nation is WAY overconfident. This game will be a nail biter to the end... as usual per a typical SEC road game. I just hope our fan base doesn't lose their **** if we come home with an "L". OU has a much; if not MORE, talent on the roster as we do. It's just a matter of time before they put it all together.

We will see "FAHR HEUPEL" posts the moment OU scores or the offense goes three and out, or even a long drive with no points.

So far, our staff is excellent in developing players.

Coaching still plays a major part in the equation. Look at FSU for example. They have 40+ 4/5 star players and the teams they have lost to have significantly less.

Heupel has outperformed in relation to the talent on the roster.

You're seeing improvement and progression at UT as we continue to get more talented players and depth (4 stars as backups or in the rotation). You'll continue to see more and more improvement in results as the culture and system gets more ingrained also.

That being said, college football is EXTREMELY quarterback dependent. If we can continue to get great QB's, UT will start consistently competing for SEC and national titles.

Some of our fans are of the species of the creature below, However, they use the northern component to fire their blasts.

Some of our fans need a good dose of castor oil!
