I would assume some of it is the preseason bias built into the polls. UT is, I think, the only team in the top 10 that started the season unranked. I take that as a positive, but some voters would have a bias built into their vote. They would think Ohio State hasn’t done anything wrong to go down in the polls. Beat UT Martin, then worry about the next week and it takes care of itself.

I dare say few have ever played (let alone beaten) 6 top-25 teams in their first 9 games.
