1 Detroit Lions
2 Portland
3 Cubs. Ever notice how a guy will start to play well for them, then they trade him and suddenly he's an all-star?

Weren't the acquisition of Hill, and the departure of Shaq both due to free agency? They didn't trade Shaq away and didn't trade for Hill. And, they really couldn't predict the kind of injury problems that Hill would have....at the time, Hill and McGrady made a nice looking tandem....and they worked hard to get Tim Duncan that year in free agency...just couldn't get it done.

i also defend the Marlins. They don't have the money to keep a good team and the so called best small market team is the A's. The best they can do is get to the ALDS and lose. Who cares about that? The Marlins through their wheeling and dealing have pulled off two World Series. I'd take that everyday as an A's fan.

The Marlins know how to do it. They should have kept Girardi, though.

Who did the Cubs trade away like that?

The New England Patriot Dynasty

Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Willie McGinest, David Givens, Deion Branch. They franchised Asante Samuel I believe, and they are getting a good draft pick so they may let him go too.

The Braves

I have to disagree here. For a while, it seemed like the Braves were always getting the best of everybody's careers. It seemed like players would be awful as soon as they left Atlanta.

not sure anyone can beat the AZ Cards on trading away good players to ensure the losing continues. Cheapest owners in the biz
