Army and Air Force. A trip to West Point or Colorado Springs would be exciting.

I'd like to do a home and away with Michigan and Texas.

Florida State, meet the team the Vols beat for the NC back in 1998, wonder how their fans will react to playing Tennessee.

Being an Army grad, I can tell you that this would be an awful game. I don't think anyone would want to see these two teams play. However, I do believe Army beat Tennessee last time they played...

1986: Army: 25 - UT: 21

We put it to Fresno in 03 believe it was. But they are much improved.

We usualy keep a pretty sharp non-conf schedule, Miami, ND, Marshall, UCLA, Texas Tech, Memphis...Others Wyoming, Duke, UNLV, and the last time we played Ala-Bham we went 13-0 and huge NC Ring :worship:

I always enjoyed the UCLA games. Throw in a Michigan and a Penn State so we can win one in all the big stadiums

Big Ten - Michigan or Ohio State

Big 12 - Texas

Those would be some serious games, likely the biggest national noncon game in any given year.

Michigan plays Notre Dame every year. I don't know that they would want to commit to another marquee noncon game.

I don't think many teams would want to commit to playing the VOLS. Most programs don't schedule noncon games they don't have a better than 50/50 shot of winning. I can't think of any programs that would have a better than 50/50 shot of beating us in any given 2 years.

Exactly!
Sure that Mich every other year would be great!
But the first spanking would come in the Nuthouse' Mich can lose big and still share NC titles. The NCAA isnt gonna go there again..

Id so much love to see Va Tech get sent back to playing emory & henry, or Their big rival William & Mary. Who ever that is?

VTech just won the ACC last year... That's not exactly the worst conference out there.

Do they still sell beer at Louisville games since the move to Papa John's Stadium?

Ohio State has a home-home against Texas starting this year, then a home-home against USC(Southern Cal) in 2008-09, then a home-home against Miami in 2010-11.

Maybe OSU would take the bait if Tennessee wanted a monster non-conference game sometime in the future.

That 2007 date is open... Except I think we have Cal scheduled. I think Tedford should keep things steady in Berkely.
