Bama fans were specifically mentioned and have been leaders in the charge as far as Tebows emotional outburst has been concerned... I understand that it has been happening for a while now but the gist of the article seemed to be that it was at the SEC CG that his Mom really got a dose of what some Bama fans are capable of....

You are stretching. The only thing said about bama was:

Like Alabama fans referring to him as "Tim Tearbow.''

So, how can he be defending his mom if he hasn't heard the only particular quote attributed to Alabama fans? Every fanbase bashed him for crying. I did... Also, what games has Tebow played since for his mother to be hasseled by rival fans? As I understand things, she is nestled in Gator country.

This is just a stupid article.

This is just another attempt to boost Tebows image(takes up for his mom). I agree you should never call out a players parents, but it does happen. Cromptons parents heard a lot of sh*t from our fans last year and the early part of this year, but no one had to write an article about it.

Tebow and his over the top antics are fun to rib at, but I gotta agree with him here.

Leave the family out of it.

That article didn't specifically say Bama fans were taunting his mother.

I'm guessing she's seen the best and worst of every fan base the past 4 years.

I imagine every fan base that plays football enjoyed seeing Tebow cry on national tv and they poked fun at him. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't some FSU fans seeing her and taking personal shots at her. Those fans are just like gator fans; no class at all. Everyone likes to joke and kid and a few do get personal, but I highly doubt someone goes after a parent.

Gator fans are weak. At UT we don't let other teams pick on our qb's mother, we do it ourselves
