Everyone talks about TT as the greatest college QB ever. But how will he do at the next level? Where will he be drafted, and what kind of career do you expect?

He's not a drop-back passer like Manning, and while he's a good runner, he's not a Vick or VYoung. Thoughts?

He is a winner, though, and his leadership character is impeccable.

I honestly do not see him projecting as a QB at the NFL level. His throwing motion is worse than Vince Young's.

He will be a 3rd string QB and that's all. The QB dive play won't work in the NFL and he rarely takes snaps under center.

First off, his mechanics are horrific, and that's being nice. He holds the ball too low, he has terrible footwork, and his arm slot is questionable. UF hired a pro-style QB coach to fix his mechanics and they still look the same

Second, he isn't fast like Young, Vick, Cunningham. He probably runs a 4.7 40. That's slower than DE's in the NFL. It also doesn't look like he has football speed.

Third, there isn't one sucessful spread offense QB in the NFL (and we are waiting on Young for a verdict) which isn't going to help. He's never thrown the ball under center (which Meyer said he would during off-season).

Fourth, he has not proven he can read defenses. Todd McShay said it the other day, it's one read and then he leaves the pocket. He will get killed in the NFL doing that.

Fifth, he won't break tackles like in college. There's a difference between a safety from Vandy trying to tackle you, and Ray Lewis. He won't be able to do that in the NFL.

That being said, he has everything you want with intangibles. Leadership, clutch, great kid. Yet that only gets you so far. He will not be a successful starting QB in the NFL, and any GM that drafts him as their future franchise QB, they should be fired.

If a team like Jacksonville gets ahold of him he definately would fit thier playing style. David Garrard is essentially his brother from another mother imo lol. Not too many teams are gonna fit his QB style imo. He will be either drafted as a QB for Wildcat type crap options, but i dont see him being a full time starter unless he goes to Jacksonville myself or Miami. Very late first round if a team wants him for that, or 3rd round as a FB is my lowly estimate.....

Everything I've read is that he is NOT going pro. Gonna work in the medical field. But if he enters the draft he will be a 5th or 6th round pick as a full back. Read somewhere that Tampa wants him so they can sell some tickets. Reckon we will know in April.

the only chance he has at QB is if he works with a QB coach to shorten his throwing motion. His release is so long and he exposes the ball way too much. The NFL DE are too fast and will knock the ball out of his hands.

I propose a permanant ban on opening any new Tim Tebow threads on Volnation. Anyone second?

My guess is he will go in the 3rd or 4th round, likely as a safety or tight end. I doubt he ever plays QB in the NFL other than the wildcat package. My guess is Jacksonville will try to get him to boost their ticket sales.

Imagine him playing Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis playing him with their ability to force fumbles. Tebow will have the ball knocked out ten times.

You guys are crazy. The dude is averaging almost 3 yards an attempt right now. He's going to be a stud.

Not really, I am looking forward to threads like- "Tebow drafted in 6th round", "Tebow cut by Lions", "Tebow caught in male sex scandal".

How about just a permanent ban on opening any new Tim Tebow threads in the Tennessee Vols Football section of Volnation?
