I missed this segment when it aired.

“One of the best competitors that I ever had the honor of playing against,” Tebow said with a hand on Berry’s shoulder. “And, yes, this was a pick-six in 2007! Not only did [Berry] picked me and took it to the house, but then you made me miss when I was trying to tackle you, and you juked me so I sort of rolled my ankle… But, truly, one of the best – in my opinion- one of the best players to ever play in the SEC. More than that, he’s also an amazing young man. And he represents y’alls team and y’alls state so well.”

He's not wrong. I wish we would have had a top team around Eric then. Those would have been 3 epic UT UF battles if so. Berry was awesome all three games, but all 3 teams were not great

Very classy which doesn't surprise me. Yeah, Eric Berry was the bright spot on an otherwise difficult Tennessee team to watch. If the team was better, I could have seen him in the conversation for the Heisman even on defense.

Overcame a lot in his pro career due to health, and had a pretty good career.

Knew that Berry was going to be good but think the Tebow pick 6 early in Berry’s freshman year was the first sign that he was going to be one of the greats.

I wished though I had turned off the game after that pick 6

Back when true freshmen were allowed to make an impact

Ehhh, I never liked the dude as a player, but I think his comment is being genuine.
In all honesty, while I think Teblow is prob the greatest CFB ive seen play. He may very well be being honest, but he still comes across as fake.

And I still dont like him.🤦🏼‍♂️ And yes im still haunted by him coming in as a freshman, and falling forward for 5 yards.

I can't stand the Gators as much as most UT fans, so I'm good with not liking the dude. Once a Gator always a Gator.

I always thought Tebow was a poseur at times at UF.

but he never embarrassed his professed beliefs (it was always his fanboys and girls that were unbearable)
and tough to be negative about him heaping that praise on Eric Berry.

If memory serves, didn't Gary Danielson say Tim Tebow and Eric Berry collided like champions, and Tebow obviously won the battle. I thought Eric Berry made a fine play, but I guess I'll have to defer to Gary's unbiased commentary.

Why? You would have missed our great defensive effort the rest of the way. Chavis was a great coordinator. Gave up 62 to them years earlier in Gainesville

Gary Danielson is another dude I can get on board with disliking.

I’m with you - Tebow was stopped short of the first down by the “collision” play. But, Gary loves some Tebow. Even on the interception he goes out of his way to say the pick wasn’t Tebow’s fault even though he left it short and inside. Vintage Gary!
