Florida Gators immortalize motivational Tim Tebow speech - ESPN

Meyer had Tebow's speech engraved on a plaque and placed outside the front entrance to the new football facility at Florida Field. Although it might seem like a strange move since Tebow still has one year remaining with the Gators, Meyer said he didn't want to wait.

It was a decent speech and all, but this doesn't seem like Urban Meyer. Doesn't seem to technically relate to us at all, but I get the feeling he is a little ruffled after what Kiffin said about free advertising. This seems like part of his response. Maybe he wants to shift the focus a little bit. Who knows.

I would be worried if I was a gator fan, from the article it sounds like urban isn't planning on being there that much longer."I'm not interested in 10 years from now because who knows if we're -- I might be toes up somewhere," I am probably wrong, but it sounds like he almost blurted it out publicly. I just hope we beat him once as a florida gator before he decides to leave.

This is just Meyer trying to shift the nation's attention from it's current media darling Lane Kiffin, to it's former one, Tim Tebag.

Does anyone read this title as, "Tebow's speech on a plague"? I'm thinking....well, he performs circumcisions...is he now advising the CDC on bird flu pandemics??? That sneaky underlining of the thread titles will throw you off from time to time...

This is the only way he can see Tebow at his practice facility every day once he graduates. The only problem is that they don't currently have another LB on their squad who is ready to be the UF quarterback. I mean, who else is going to stand in their modified shotgun pro set at the 1 yard line, only to follow the other 2 LBs to the endzone?

I agree. I say Meyer's in South Bend within 3 years.

Why would Meyer leave? He's got one of the best teams in college football, and so much hype that he doesn't know what to do with it. He has enough money, so that surely isn't an issue.
...Plus, he doesn't quite have ties to ND. He was an assistant there when they still weren't that great. I just don't see a reason for him to leave his posh life in Gainesville for the extreme issues in South Bend.

Notre dame is on almost every coaches dream job list....that's just the way it is.

At first glance I thought this was about a Tebow speech on frogs, locusts or leprosy...

A statue of his holiness to follow.

I had to do a double take on that Heisman.

Tebag is a poser on the sidelines and in the games and uses his "faith" to his advantage to get publicity. This is just another notch on the overexposure marketing of Tebag. Can't wait to see that stupid thing flashed to about a million times during the next gator game on CBS. I am sure Vergne will allude to it at every timeout and commerical break
