This is dead on right. What he did at Vandy was a product of the stars aligning perfectly. And I do mean perfectly.

He's done his winning at both Vandy and PennState in large part because of his defensive coordinator Bob Shupp.

He's a bad offensive coach at Penn State, was a bad offensive coach at Vandy, was a bad offensive coordinator at Maryland if total offense statistics mean anything. He just got his ass handed to him by Temple....Temple!!

Franklin made the right choice by going to Penn State. He had nowhere to go but down at Vandy. At least now he'll get a big payday when Penn State fires him.
