No, a redneck is white trash, to me they are interchangeable, as I qualified in the previous post. Everyone else is simply good country folk or hillbillies. I have zero problem with them, even been called one from time to time.

I always thought 'rednecks' were what you called people that were 'hillbillies', but they didn't have any real 'hills' to speak around where they grew up.

'Redneck' originated as a term to describe those who worked outdoors and was synonymous with 'farmer' because the sun shining down made one's neck above the collar turn red.

Back before the NAACP, the ACLU and other communist front groups were able to foster such racist hatred among the African American community, one could ask a black farmer down at the feed store if he were a 'redneck' and he would say; "you're damn straight I'm a redneck."

At first I thought you you meant that as a racial slur or perhaps meant to denigrate the poor but now I realize you only meant to express your over abiding sense of self-righteousness.

Good thing too, I thought I was going to have to turn you in to RADL (redneck anti-defamation league.)

I was in a situation like that once, I found another job closer to home and turned in my two week notice and before it was all over they offered me 4X+ times my salary to stay but I told them it was too late, I had already accepted another offer.
