1. JP Prince has really stepped up his game, but I will hold judgment for a little bit longer. For some reason, he does better coming off the bench.

2. Hat said it earlier, it just seems like Tatum isn't going to be the same with his knees (in terms of athletic ablitity). He can still play obviously, but he isn't going to rely on the athleticism he once had.

3. Scotty's ball-handling is absolutely atrocious. His hands are terrible also. That's something that can be fixed and needs to be fixed.

4. I don't know why Renaldo Woolridge is getting minutes over Kenny Hall, but that seems really dumb to me.

5. The Halfcourt offense looked better. Better ball movement, more imagination on offense. We were getting into the offense quicker.

6. I know why we played horrible the first-half, and I understand. It still doesn't excuse stupid mistakes and laziness on the boards.

7. Speaking of boards, we need to be more aggressive on the glass. Offensively, I understand why we don't get many boards, because we aren't the biggest team, but there's no excuse on the defensive glass.

8. Wayne Chism's shot is looking better. I've ripped him before for taking those shots, but he's taking smarter shots, and he's working down low.

9. The D is much improved. I guess last year it was because we were young and really didn't put much emphasis on it, but it has looked better, intensity-wise, and in terms of how to play D.

10. We won't be able to get a read on this team till after the Memphis & Kansas games. Right now, our OOC schedule isn't that good.

Woolridge getting any PT at this time is perplexing. Hopson's hands look better on D, but have got to get better on O, saw some sloppy passing to go along with the ball handling. Tyler Smith, please, please shoot some 3's!!! Had one opportunity last night that had me screaming "shoot the J, Shoot It!" I felt like Prince, the purple one, not JP...

We still have issues shooting the 3 point shoot and do we practice FT's at all? The FT shooting is terrible.

3 pt shooting was atrocious last night. Sklar I thought that was ur forte? I don't think I've seen him hit but one all year. Tyler the reason I'm on u is that 3 pt shooting is the big knock on ur NBA aspirations, if u cant at least throw some up u aint gonna make it bub.

If there is someone out there who knows how to fix "bad hands", they are wasting their time if whatever job they are in. Coaches all over the country would pay for their service.

7 won't get any better until we have guys to actually stay around and box out.

It's hard to get boards when you have 2-3 guys around the Halfcourt Line waiting to get an outlet pass.

We snowbird more than any team I've ever seen this side of an all star game.

Yes we do.

That works against the Wyoming's and the UNCA's of the world.

Not so much when it's games that matter.

With my 1000th post, I agree.

That was Hopsons M.O in high school. Snowbirding for outlet passes to add on his hoop mix tape. Its a habit that IMO, is easily fixed.

Which once again speaks to Pearls ability to discipline this squad.

I have been a strong critic of JP, but he honestly has played well the last two games in all departments.

I'd say that has something to do with the competition, however, I haven't been able to watch much of the last two games.

I still like this team a lot.

The thing about three point shooting is that some nights, they will fall, some they won't. When we shoot badly from the three, we have to hope that we are playing the lower tier of our schedule. I believe if we have a good shooting night from 3, we can beat anyone in the country.

Defensively is much much improved. We do not rebound as well as I would like but defensively it is a step up from where we have been.

I think Tyler needs to step up and score more. He says he is playing team ball and I am happy he is a team player, but if he is more of a factor, that will help Scotty, and the others.

Goins needs to play better. B Maze is improved over last year.

McBee is a pleasant surprise even though he isn't nailing the three's consistently. Not to bad for a walk on to be getting these minutes as a freshman. He will earn a scholly. By the time he is a Senior, he may be challenging some records. (too early to tell)

Overall, I don't think we are national championship contenders. We will know more after Memphis, Kansas, etc,. USC, Saturday, is a game we need to show well in. I do think we can get to the elite eight if our seeding and matchups are okay.

He actually has. He's playing defense and he's making the smart decisions. I'm not saying he's living up to his potential/has finallly got it, but he has played better.

I agree with everything except the bold part.

They still play stupid, we still do not have a capable halfcourt offensive game and our rebounding will bite us in the ass one game. I don't know when, but it will happen.
