1. If there is anyone you can't blame for the debacle last night, don't blame Chism. I've criticized his three-point shooting before, but I'll take that look. That's an open three he has hit before. He just missed.
2. I don't mind not calling a timeout, but you have to draw up a better play. I like going to Chism, but he had 210-pound Robbie Hummel on him. Feed the ball down low to him, and let him score, get fouled, or pass it out of a double team for a good look.
3. Hate to see that I was right about Scotty Hopson. He looked scared last night. He doesn't have that IT factor, and he can't take over in big games.
4. What's up with Tyler Smith? I know he isn't the best three-point shooter in the world, but he has passed up every single open three. And he said he improved it. Weird.
5. My apologies to Steven Pearl...Renaldo Wooldridge is the most worthless player in America. How the hell was that guy a 4* player continues to boggle my mind.
6. Melvin Goins gets after it defensively. His offensive skills leave much to be desired, but he can play excellent D.
7. I know people are going to be upset about this, but I like that three ball by Cam. I know it wasn't the best shot, but you had numbers and Cam is a pretty decent three-point shooter. That's a good look that you are not going to get if you slow it down.
8. The refs were a travesty on both sides. That was a horrific game to watch. That was not pretty.
9. One thing I did like in this game. They didn't go three-happy like last year's team. They weren't knocking them down, and they didn't put up 30 three's. They only put up 11 and started attacking down low. Good basketball right there.
10. Usually I put a positive spin on something here, and there is positivity with this team, but I have to say this: You usually don't see a player get worse as his career continues, especially in college. Yet JP Prince has done that. He's almost downright terrible. I like Cam off the bench, but Pearl has to figure out how to wake up JP.
