Ten years ago we went into Tuscaloosa and beat Alabama in 5 OT.

Still shocks me when people come on here and run their mouths about Casey. I generally assume that they got their info about Vol football from that era secondhand or just weren't paying attention.

Everyone was really hard on him...Even back then. The product of an EXTREMELY spoiled fanbase coupled with the fact he wasn't exactly the most charismatic guy ever.

Whoever edits/encodes/renders these classic Vol videos needs to get fired. They're terrible at their job, all the glitches in the video/skips in sound.

Is this the game James Banks fell over? If so, anyone know what time in the game it happened? Would love to see that again.

My son had a pee-wee football game late that afternoon. I was backed up to the endzone with a tv in the back of the Expedition watching both games. The crowd around the tv kept growing as the game ended just about the time OT started. What a crazy game.

That seems like so long ago.

Yeah Casey was the Road warrior with a 14-1 road record and 34-10 overall. I don't get it either.

True story. I was there. Would see him at parties and hardly anyone would talk to him. He would just hang in the corner. Students were not a fan. Pretty sad in hindsight.

He beat the Gators in the swamp. So yeah, I liked him a lot. His freshman year in the Bama game in Knoxville a rusher ripped his helmet off and he stood helmetless in the pocket and ripped a throw for a completion. Then he picked up his helmet and jawed at the Bama players as he walked to the huddle. Kid was a warrior. :lolabove:

How did Bama play 13 games that year? 4 win team got a bowl nod? If anyone would, I guess it would be Bama.

I heard it earlier and had to do a double take. Looked it up and they did indeed play 13. Went to Hawaii that year...
