Were we the w.v. of the SEC this year?

Who's defense do yall think was worst?

Watching the w.v. bowl, and its hard to debate with myself.

Thoughts?

:rock:Would be a heck of a game if you like offence, be like 72 to 69, wish our BB team could score that much.

Idk w.v. vs baylor was some really bad D but fun to watch. I'm saying w.v. was worst.
While watching I was seeing a lot of similarities in teams.

Source; NCAA College Football Stats

Total Defense/Scoring Defense
UT = #109/106, 35.67
WVU = #107/114, 38.08
BU = #119/115, 38.17

Total Offense/Scoring Offense
UT = #19/23, 36.17
WVU = #8/7, 41.58
BU = #1/5, 44.08

Point differential:
UT = .5 point
WVU = 3.5 points
BU = 5.91 points

The point differential gives away the team's W/L records. So the conclusion is BU's D appears worse. However, their offense was so prolific that their defense stats are skewed due to total # of plays/possessions defensed. Yet it only finished 2.5 points behind UT's. For the season (excludes bowl games), Baylor ran 102 more offensive plays and defensed 77 more plays than UT. WVU defensed 30 more plays and ran 50 more offensive plays than UT. The final factor is the strength of schedule. Big 12 offenses are scoring machines and wide open. They have contain type defenses as a rule. SEC offenses are not as prolific since defenses are so strong. So UT giving up nearly as much in scoring as BU and WVU suggests that UT's defense was worse. But all three stink.

So that gives me my answer, and that's

THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE, AND WE LET EM OFF THE HOOK

Nice stats thanks

D was so bad Holgs left the offense mid-season to help the defense. Sound familiar? Only difference is Holgorsen actually knows offense.

Look at Texas defense. They said worse stats in the history of the program. Also ranked somewhere around 100. Texas and FSU must be two worse performing programs considering all the top recruiting classes

I don't know who had the worst defense in college football this season, but you can probably google it. I don't have time.

It was asking for opinions not facts.

You did have enough time to search through posts
And then REPLY so you must have more time than you thought.
