I personally think it's a bit low, but it's probably about right for this group of guys especially considering it's a preseason poll. It's meaningless but nice to see where we stand from a national perspective. Can't believe it's almost November.

i see a lot of teams ahead of us that i feel like we would beat right now, however i don't know about later when it matters because of the black cloud over us. :ermm: :ermm: :ermm:

Meaningless. Preseason basketball polls are for the youngsters. It's all hype.

Interesting that Kristin Tallent is one of two writers from Tennessee. And if I might say so, she is quite a talent.

I agree preseason basketball ranking are meaningless, but the #23 seems about right. We lost 3 starters, one being the winningest player in UT hoops history. So until these guys prove themselves that's probably where they belong.

My favorite preseason vote is for coach of the year. Doesnt it always go to a coach that surprises everyone?

I think that 23 is too low for us. Dicky V has us at 11, which is where I think this team should be ranked (10-15). By the time the tournament starts, I think UT will be in the top ten though.

I agree with this. Can't wait til the Dec. 11th matchup. It should reveal our soft underbelly or hard shell.

We have the chance to beat 5, 6 and 19 OOC.

We are a ton better than Va Tech. It is not a close question.

we should be higher in my opinion. not many teams have the athleticism or depth we have. especially with the big guys
