TENNESSEE? an NBA Stepping stone?

Lawgator, you sure you don't work for ESPN. Why don't you give us a little respect. We have beat some pretty good teams with talent that you would not allow on your Beloved Gators. Danny Anige, I believe still works for That Team In Boston, hum they have something to do with the Shamrock, can't recall their name. Anyway he should know what it takes to develop talent at the NBA of today, yes a two on two game. So please just a little R E S P E C T please.

Exactly. I've seen the scenario about, oh, eighty million times at Florida. And don't think you are immune just because Pearl has them playing well as a team right now. When the NBA agents get their hands on these kids over the summer, they F$&* them all up. Just the way it is.

Heck, look at Florida right now. We start four sophomores and a junior. You think they will all be back next year? When some greedy SOB gets ahold of them and tells them they are guaranteed $1 million just to get drafted? And even if they do come back, after all the hype and attention, you think 21 year olds looking at that kind of sudden unbelievable wealth will all just want to come back and sacrifice an ACL for their alma mater?

That doesn't scare me. If there are NBA scouts looking at Tennessee players in the future, that's a good thing...not a bad thing. I understand what you're saying though.

I just pointed out that Tennessee is unselfish and always seems to make that extra pass. I seem to remember you talking about how UF was totally unselfish too. Actually, you said that a lot. Why the lecture when I say it? :dunno:

Right now it's pretty calm. Amazing what happens when no one wants to play you!

Someone the other night put it best. I am known for at least minimally insightful comments ... followed shortly thereafter by baiting you folks into arguing over simply Orange versus Orange AND Blue.

C'mon LG, you have to treat Danny Ainge's comment with SOME sort of respect. The man knows NBA basketball. Think about what a recruit will take away from that one little comment. That will be invaluable on the recruiting trail for guys that want to make it to the next level.

BTW, its not the Vols that said this, its Danny Ainge. We didn't annoint ourselves as anything.
Danny was a good player. I think his track record as Celtic GM raises questions about his ability to evaluate talent.
