Help me out. I'm thinking of making a diorama with my custom figures. It would be two or more figures arranged on a base to look like a moment in time during a game. I'm looking for suggestions for Tennessee players and players from other schools to put in this diorama. The diorama would be of Neyland Stadium so it would have to be a home game if any suggestions are of actual games played, and preferably one that Tennessee won. And I'd like it to be a noteworthy Tennessee player vs. a noteworthy player from another team (offensive player vs. defensive player, doesn't matter which side is Tennessee player), who actually played against each other in the past. Any suggestions?

Berry murdering Moreno. It happened in Athens, but you might just have to make believe and act like it was in Knoxville.

Yes. Click the "Dusty's Custom Figures" link in my sig to know what I'm talking about.

Good suggestion. I remember now that someone asked me about making that moment in figures before but it was too expensive for them.

Excellent work. I know that you stipulated home games, but a couple of dramatic moments that come to mind were Dale Jones intercepting a Mike Shula pass at point-blank range in the '85 Alabama game and Peerless Price catching what would prove to be our final touchdown of the 1999 BCS National Championship game. If you insist on actual home game footage, however, there was a dramatic fingertip interception made by Deon Grant in the '98 Florida game, I believe. He cut across from "centerfield" to take the ball away from an open Florida receiver.

I can handle it if its not a home game. I was mainly just wanting it to be in orange uniform.

Deon Grant 98 int vs uf is a good one.

Mose Phillips in the end zone looking at his wrist like a watch in the downpour vs uf.

Eric Berry hitting the bama wr making him spin around almost two full times.

One of my favorites was the West Brown fumble return for a td vs vandy in '09

Al Wilson hitting Rex Grosman in 98

If you want to depict some historically famous moments in Tennessee football history, you could do Johnny Butler's 56-yard touchdown run against Alabama in 1939, a game which we won 21-0. The play, which has been described as "the greatest run in Tennessee football history" is shown at roughly the 27:00 mark of 100 Years of Volunteers 1 - YouTube. It was subsequently used in many Hollywood movies whenever they wanted a dramatic football film clip. You also could do Hank Lauricella's almost equally famous 75-yard run against Texas in the 1951 Cotton Bowl. To view it, fast-forward to roughly the 41:35 mark of 100 Years of Volunteers 1 - YouTube.

I always thought this would make a great figure thingy.

Of course it was an away game, and the Bama player isn't that memorable(Ahmad Childress #95).

Another classic historic moment, one that most definitely transpired on Shields-Watkins Field, was "The Stop," where Billy Cannon was tackled just shy of the goal line, thus denying him a would-be 2-point conversion and securing a Tennessee victory over No. 1-ranked LSU (1959). This play occurs at the 1:00:45 mark of 100 Years of Volunteers 1 - YouTube.

As someone who has purchased 3 of OP's figurines before (he does great work), I would LOVE to have this one done. I agree 100% with you.

When you say you are doing a Neyland Stadium diorama, what scale are you talking about? Would this be a piece of the field, benches, etc.?

Just curious from one artist to another.

This came to mind for me as well.

How about Clausen to Witten for the game winning TD in the 6th overtime vs. Arkansas in 2002?

Look, even Fall Down Tony Brown is in the background. Plus, you'd get to make a figurine with the giant orange stripe on the pants.
