Tennessee DEFENSE: FISTS UP!

Well this was supposed to be a slogan this year, and I wanna see the Defense own it today. This is SEC rivalry, and a grudge football game. I don't wanna see this bouncing off people high I wanna see wrap up tackles the way you were taught. I wanna see discipline, and most of all I wanna see defiance regardless of score.....show me your fists up mentality. Show everyone you can keep up intensity for four quarters! Show everyone you have earned the right to be Tennessee Defense. Tennessee has a very old defensive tradition, General Neyland wrote the book on DEFENSE. His teams once shut out opponents for 17 straight games.....I don't care what they wore or how the game was played back then...think about that....for 17 games no one scored a point against us...those guys sweat and bled on this field......Show us you have that sort of character......maybe you can't keep a modern team scoreless...but show us you can dig in with that same effort and determination.

I think the slogan is GREAT!!! There are so many things that can be done with it. None of which are printable by reporters or repeatable by tv people. But, can you imagine what's going through the mind of every dude at UT during the game?

I think it sends a clear message of what we're thinking when it's 3rd down for the opposing team. hehehe. hmy: :birgits_giggle:

True... it pisses me off that Vandy can improve with less talent and Tennessee seems to be stuck in a rut with the same ole exscuses year after year.Come On Vols...lets get this thing rolling enough of this being bottom feeders!
