Would be fun to watch Chris Lofton and JJ Redick on the same floor... 2 of the best shooters I've ever seen on the BBALL court...w/such long range ability.

JMX, didn't you pick Texas?

Yep, but I also warned people that were picking a Texas blowout and calling Duke unathletic. I also stated that Coach K is the best coach in the nation.

I dont know about you but that was a close one for me...

This duke team is too strong, Being a tarheel fan also, it pains me to watch them roll over everyone. I figured Texas would at least be a challenge.

Duke is a strong team, but I am not yet sold on them. Paulus makes some questionable decisions sometimes that all freshman make, and McRoberts tries to dunk every ball he gets his hands on instead of making going up strong for an AND1 layup. Also, Melchionni turns the ball over too much. However, if JJ plays the way he played against Texas, no team in the country could beat them, period. But, IF he has an off night, 15-20 points, they are in trouble. Like against VaTech and Memphis. Yes, they won both of those games, but not convincingly...

:lolabove: True, true. After losing to Vanderbilt, I'd say watching our BB team get dropped by half-a-century wouldn't seem so bad.

I agree, It seems like Duke played good against ranked teams, but when they play unranked teams they barely win..A win is a win though & if they play like they did against Texas, they want be stopped, I just hope my Tar Heels beat them at least once.

"I just hope my Tar Heels beat them at least once."

Sorry, but I think you're going to have to wait a year for such an event to occur.

Chris Lofton and JJ Redick. Sorry they should not be mentioned in the same breath. Sorry guys but Lofton may be decent but no where near Reddick.

I agree, with a caveat. Reddick has improved by leaps and bounds over the last two years. Another advantage Reddick has had is four years of being coached by one of the best. Lofton might as well have coached himself last year. Look at Lofton in two years, then it will be an apples to apples comparison.

The only Tennessee/Duke matchup I'd like to see is the Lady Vols play the Lady Blue Devils and win by 15.
 :dance2: Lady Vols may be the best in women's basketball this year. The men's team wouldn't stand a chance against Duke. It could be as bad as the other UT matchup, if not worse-never know. :mf_surrender:
