Think about this. All teams, coaches, and programs go through down periods. ALL.
Unlike Florida, who has really been a "johnny come lately" program over the last couple of decades, or Florida State (same), or even Miami, (whose "power" does not hold a candle to Tennessee or Alabama or Oklahoma, or Texas over the test of years).
The Auburns, LSU's and so on are left on the doorstep when you start rolling the clock back 25, 50, even 100 years.
Tennessee is OUR arch rival and has a rich and storied program that makes Tennessee worthy of being such. Places like Auburn spend all of their time worrying about what Alabama is doing.
The more intelligent fans of any traditional program know that there are lean years. One of the posts mentioned 2002. Didn't you guys go 8-4 that year? Hardly an implosion, but certainly not what you wanted.
Alabama got caught with its hand in the cookie jar and got smacked. Fine. We are rebuilding and reloading so that we can contend for championships. Your team is in a tailspin and know what? It won't stay that way for long. Tennessee is no Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc. Tennessee is not a doormat like they are.
Chin up peeps, lord knows it stings, but your ship will sail again.
