I was just talking to a former member on this board and he asked me who was Johnathan Crompton? you have got to be kidding me. then I told him he is the best qb coming out of Highschool this year, he had the nerve to say that the number one qb is Sanchez who is going to USC.

I didn't even know there were Tennessee fans who didn't know who Johnathan Crompton is. :shakehead:

Sanchez was the best QB coming out of high school.

Sanchez threw for 2,600 yards, 29 touchdowns, and only four interceptions as a junior. Had a 75 percent completion rate.
As a junior Crompton threw for over 2,300 yards, 23 touchdown passes and five interceptions.

you can argue that all you want. every scouting service that ive seen says Sanchez is better. we'll see what happens in two years.

Yeah but 25 qbs better than ainge. There weren't 25 qb's in all of college football that played better than him last year. If he wouln't have got hurt last year, he would defintley be on the top 100 players list. No way would schaffer had been better than Ainge. I am a big fan of schaffer, and will follow him where ever he goes, but I have come to the harsh reality that AInge just is better than Brent and Clausen. All I am saying is Crompton is a better qb than Sanchez. Its my opinon though.

I just wanna know why you think Crompton is better. I have seen nothing to make me think otherwise.

Sanchez is a local boy, he lives in SoCal...and if that's your reason, then you should work on it

So whats your reasoning then? why is sanchez better? because a few USC ball huging scouts say that every player that picks USC is all of a sudden at the top of the list of there postion? give me a break. Crompton was the number one qb going into his sophmore year, then junior year, then senior year, But then all of a sudden sanchez pick USC and he starts climbing the list. Give me a break.

Give me a break, do you realize how immature you sound? Consiracy theories about USC and the numbers. Anti-Crompton crap, and Sanchez is on the polls nuts. I thought you had a alittle sense. But then again, i've been wrong before

My reason is bc the entire nation says so. Until i see otherwise im going with it.

the scouts or whatever have seen him for years...you and i havnt. why cant you just accept that we have the #3 QB in the nation. he might turn out to be the best in 4 years, but right now...i dont know, and you dont know.

Um, no I am pretty sure that he is the best in the nation. I have seen Crompton play, and he fits so perfect in our system that its scary. I just haven't got any stats from you that tells me he is a clear cut better player than Crompton.

i havnt got stats from you that show that crompton is clear cut better. If you would scroll up to the top there, there are a couple stats....but im not gonna worry about "opinion" cuz you have nothing to back it up either.

Dropback passer with excellent vision and quick release. Selected for January's U.S. Army All-American Game in San Antonio. Three-year starter. As a senior, completed 130 of 230 for 2,185 yards, 28 touchdown and six interceptions. Also had 65 tackles as a free safety and averaged 42.3 yards per punt. Often compared to former Tennessee quarterback Heath Shuler, another product from the Western region of North Carolina. ''Jonathan is a complete quarterback,'' Tuscola coach Travis Noland said. ''The college coaches were telling me he's almost Dan Marino-like in his ability to deliver the ball. And let me tell you, he's got a cannon.''

I like your copy pasting....once again, read my numbers at the top..Sanchez's are better, and was also selected to the army game i believe. and Tuscola's coach must be the ultimate genius...and once again, still hasnt shown that Crompton is better...you keep typing like you think that im saying that Crompton isnt good. im sure he's great...why cant you accept that he might not be the best

um Crompton was at the Army game too.

I am not trying to make it sound like you don't like Crompton, But I am saying that he is the best qb in the nation coming out of highschool. But I guess that your just going to have to find out in a couple of years. You will see, don't you worry about that.

you should read my posts before commenting... I said "and was also selected to the army game"....also, means was there too...then you say "um Crompton was at the Army game too." ....thanks, i had no idea. and yea, we'll find out in a couple years.

I guess we will. I was just trying to tell you ahead of time. Heck but I mean the scouting service never gets it wrong so I guess I am going to have to be the one wrong on the subject!?
