What are your thoughts on doing a capital fund donation as opposed to the typical donation? I am torn because my seats are in section C at the 40-45 yd line.

They just called and offered the capital fund that would lock me in to the Tennessee Terrace which I think I would like better in long run.

Anyone in the Tennessee Terrace? If so is it a bunch of lame ass quite people who yell at you too sit down?

I sat there for years before being kicked out for the high dollar donors. I loved the seats in reality. I sat there last year for a game and the sterile atmosphere didn't suit me. It is nice but is more of a social club than a stadium. I love the pageantry of college football and believe that there is none finer than at UT. Sipping Starbucks and mingling just didn't cut it for my tastes.

That was my concern

Sit amongst the people's. My parents had 17th row seats on the 40 yard line when i was growing up and would love nothing more than to have those tickets back.

i think it mainly depends on what kind of seating you like.

i sat in the TT a couple of times last year and i like the seats with arm rests and backs. over the years i have gotten tired of azzes who take up more than their alloted seat next to me and those behind me who insist on jamming their knees into my back. but, you can get TT type of seating in other sections for less money.

as far as the food and the "atmosphere" of the TT, no big deal to me at all. if they served starbucks i missed it.

as you probably already know there are significant tax advantages to be had with the capital and annual donations, until owebama figures out how to take it away.

This is why I thought long term TT would be better.

Although not a student anymore, when the time calls for it I can get rowdy if need be. I have hated seeing Neyland so quite the past 6-8 years.

i didn't really find TT to be any more sedate than the rest of the stadium, but we got curb stomped so much game to game it was hard to find much enthusiasm even in the student section (which was mostly empty for many games).

if you are interested and have established a history of donation (sounds like you have) i'm sure they would let you in to take a close look at TT, and probably even comp you for a game. there are a hell of a lot of unsold "upscale" seats in neyland (TT and club) and it is expensive to keep them empty.

what's the difference WRT tax deductions? 100% compared to 80%? wouldn't you still have to subtract the value of the ticket?
