KU lost to KState last night, so if UT goes 2-0 this week as it should, we're back in the top 5.I thought we should’ve held at 5! Winning rivalry game at Rupp scoring 103!?!?! The Tuesday USC game was ugly, but Houston got destroyed by Kansas, so I think we should be above them. We can still play into #1 seed line so GBO
South Carolina is now ranked #15 In the latest AP poll And Kansas Is ranked 4th which Just lost to Kansas state.Really good, despite the home loss. That was a damage mitigating win at Rupp. Hope the Vols realize you don't often get to survive a bad performance like that without it leaving a mark. It's all about what they do with it going forward.

Yes, top 10 will be fine. We need to remember the seedings are done before the conference tournaments. We are not moving from 3 seed to a 1 seed because we won the SEC tournament. That was proven last season by UT and TAM. The work needs to be complete by the end of the regular season.LEts just take it one game at a time and let everything take care of itself.. doesnt matter where we are feb 6th
It's great to have a talent like Knecht, but I think, as you said, the rest of the team got lazy waiting for him to go off with another 30+ point game. If the team stays aggressive like they did against Kentucky, they can beat anyone on their schedule.Hopefully they have learned to stay aggressive on offense instead of just watching the Knecht show
Happens in a marathon of a season. A few top ten teams have lost to unranked opponents. Actually more so than us. As it stands right now, we've only lost to 1 unranked team. That SCjr and Mississippi St games could very well cost us a #1 seed.....you just can't lose those games. ESPECIALLY the home game
Looking at the 5 teams ranked in front of us and comparing their “bad” losses to ours based on Kenpom rankings, I think it’s interesting. That SCjr and Mississippi St games could very well cost us a #1 seed.....you just can't lose those games. ESPECIALLY the home game
Now, put up our lossesLooking at the 5 teams ranked in front of us and comparing their “bad” losses to ours based on Kenpom rankings, I think it’s interesting.
#1 UConn lost to (60) Seton Hall
#2 Purdue lost to (50) Northwestern,
(46) Nebraska
#3 UNC lost to (38) Villanova, (125) Georgia Tech
#4 Kansas lost to (68) UCF, (135) West Virginia, (72) Kansas State
#5 Houston lost to (30) TCU
#6 Tennessee lost to (42) Mississippi St, (44) USCjr
*I know that Kansas lost to K State after the latest rankings, so I’ll add Marquette.
#7 Marquette lost to (57) Providence, (60) Seton Hall, (49) Butler
The road game I get......although it shouldn't have happened against MSU....it wasn't them playing well....it was us playing like garbage. And home games to me are must wins and we seemed more focused on UK than USC that night. My point is without those 2 losses, imagine how firmly entrenched we would be as a 1 seed. We'd also have a HUGE lead in the SEC raceLooking at the 5 teams ranked in front of us and comparing their “bad” losses to ours based on Kenpom rankings, I think it’s interesting.

*Arizona, Duke, and Illinois are the other 3 teams ranked next. All three have worse losses than we do.
I think we are fine.
