Cara Ursin is dynamic guard from the state of Louisiana. She is scary good and will continue to improve. If she's getting attention from WNBA coaches, she has to be special. Anyone knows if Tennessee is recruiting this young lady? The article states she favors Baylor, Texas, South Carolina and Tennessee. All the other schools are loaded the next few years, even though that haven't stop recruits from going, Tennessee will have a lot of room for the next two classes.

As long as Holly Dooley and Dave "Mr. Misogyny" Hart are running the show, you can forget about anyone that's any good signing with UT.

I've looked for her in the rankings for the most prominent services and cannot find her listed anywhere. Not even in Hoopgurlz, which is affiliated with ESPN, the proponent of the article. This may be because she has not participated in AAU ball for the past three years and that is where the evaluations for these services are made.

That being said, the tone of the article seems to suggest that the top four schools have come from a list of schools hat have offered, which would mean that Tennessee is definitely recruiting her.

What about Kamera Harris? What other schools are Tennessee battling for her services? I also wonder how we are doing when it comes to the 2017 class.

Again, there is very little information about Kamera Harris. The principal article about recruiting is the one in the News-Sentinel about Tennessee's interest. (And in that regard, she fits right in with Holly's philosophy because her principal claim to fame is her defensive shot-blocking capability!) While I have found a list of schools, it is over a year old, and the one school of note was Mississippi State. The rest were mid-major, at best. I get the feeling that interest in her has picked up somewhat since then.

As to recruits in the class of 2017, Tennessee is still listed as a school of interest in a significant number of top ten, top twenty, and top fifty recruits. More than we can possibly take on the roster! As to where we stand with any or all of these recruits, I think anyone would be hard pressed to say. The fact that Tennessee is still under consideration is a good sign, but, had you asked me last year before their commitment if both Kalani Brown and Beatrice Mompremier would sign with Baylor, and that Tennessee would whiff on their major post targets, I would have said absolutely not. It was only in the last days of the recruiting cycle that thhe idea that hey might both go to he same school surfaced publicly. Right now we can only wait and see and hope for the best.

Harris has offers from Tennessee, Mississippi State, Georgia, Oregon State, and Wisconsin, along with several mid majors.

She is officially visiting Tennessee and will sign in April once she chooses.

We are in good position with both KK & Dodson from 2017. Their parents have been very impressed with Holly & how she has recruited their daughters.

I can't believe why anyone that's decent would want to come to Tenn. under Holly? I really can't. They're not going to develop into better players, I guess Tenn. still has a little shine to the program though, the history is huge. I don't know. If I were a good enough player, I'd want to be in a program that will challenge me and make me into a player that can go pro and oh yeah, can win.

:lolabove: Now I know why you always post wuteva.

No recruits for 2016 because of Holly's ineptness as a coach. If we beat Arizona State, ears will prick up. If we make it to the S16 players will start paying more attention. E8 and better news. Final Four? The recruits will come in spite of Holly.

But for now I don't see any recruits excited for the Lady Vols at all. As a fan I'm not excited either to see the LVs play because they play scared with no mojo wutsoeva. I hope that changes against AS come Sunday.

Hayes - very good position

Harrison - good position but she has to get better. Did not have a good prep season but playing with Tennessee Flight AAU helps.

Ursin is unknown because she doesn't play AAU in the summer, & that is how you get "ranked". She is good, & plenty of schools know about her.

What's your take on Dorie's upside? As I recall, Izzy was neither highly ranked, nor was she really an SEC post her freshman year, but there was no doubt about her progression to All-American status. If Dorie develops along the same scale, Holly might be kicking herself down the line if she lets her go!

Izzy was better at same point that Dorie is now. Have friends who coach against Dorie in Nashville HS, & she plays soft. Doesnt like contact. I think there is tremendous upside & would take her at TN in a minute. I do think she likes TN because of family connection & familiarity.

Besides KK, I wonder what other posts are we recruiting heavily or have a chance signing? What about Autumn Newby and Tatyana Wyatt? Also, Makayla Coombs? We need to at least sign 4 or 5 badly in this 2017 class.

I think the best deal in the future is Hayes! Her sister played with her on Riverdales' high school championship as a freshman....getting valuable experience as a young athlete.... AND They have another sister coming to Riverdale next year and another sister coming later..... FOUR POTENTIAL BASKETBALL PLAYERS !!!!!!
