It was surprising, remarkable, actually amazing – and maybe some other exciting words. westwords
Tennessee shot 27.3 percent in the first half and trailed Georgia by a point at intermission. Tennessee shot 57.6 percent in the second half and won in a romp, 74-56.

That young kid had 10 off the bench last night. I’m excited to watch him progress.

This looked like a Georgia vs Tennessee Football game only we were on the winning end.

Seems like we play Georgia tough for a quarter or two and then they spank us in second half.

It’s UK for me, but it’s because I live up here and can’t stand to hear them yap. They act like they invented basketball up here.

Ut is likely in trouble at Rupp, but hopefully will hold court at TBA. The CBB road is (and has always been) difficult. Unfortunately, Uk made a great hire in Pope. Dangit .

I was dismayed only by the dearth of scoring from Chaz.
Hopefully, that won't become a thing.

The first half is what stunned me. The 2nd half was the guys getting back to work. That half, along with the UF game, shows we could lose to anybody. We already know they can beat everybody but they can’t just go so cold. Hopefully Chaz works through his little funk and it all works itself out.

I agree with you. Of all the conference teams we play, don’t want to lose to Kentucky. They have a competent coach now too, so the task will only get harder. When Cal was there, at least I knew we could outwork him. Still can’t believe Arkansas hired that guy. His time as a coach has passed him bye I believe.

Cal reminds me of the old adage that if you could buy him for what he is actually worth and sell him for what he thinks he's worth, a lot of money could be had.

westwords Read the story. It's free. And from the best VFL to ever write the words; Marvin West. Soak up all you can, Mr. West is only 90 years young.

I try to email my thanks to him once a year. I value class in sports, loosely call it journalism, like I do in coaches and players. You CAN be successful in sports without it, but taints the body of work if you pass on applying it. For SOME OF US anyway.

Thank goodness we didn't lose last night to uga. I can handle losing to anyone else but that bunch. Sun shining brighter today.
Ehh beating UGA in basketball is not like a big thing.. for men's BB its Florida and Kentucky... sometimes Bama. Anytime UGA beats us its an upset the last couple of decades.
