Ok.....Tennessee has turned down rooms that were made available for the team, coaches and family. The reason for turning them down was to leave them available for evacuees and emergency workers, which I will add was a nice jesture. But I don't want to hear any mor whining about how LSU is "making" Tenn. fly down for the game on gameday......IT WAS YOUR DECISION!!.

On another note, some hotels in New Orleans might be opening up next week freeing up more rooms in BR......so if that is the case maybe Tenn. will change their plans or that will atleast free some rooms inside BR for fans.

Can you believe the nerve of LSU making the mighty Vols fly down to LA to play them at night with a totel disregard for how it might affect the game? Sheesh! Now I've seen it all. How selfish of them... I think we should protest the game and refuse to play them under these circumstances. :birgits_giggle:

He said they were NOT enough rooms available Thursday night on the radio here. The governor of Louisiana has stated that no one can displace evacuees, so how can that statement in the article be true? There's not enough rooms. That's it. Stop making a big f'in deal about the whole. We are NOT scared of your little stadium at night.

Will someone please paint a goalline around our forum so LSU can't get in.

What is it about football and swampdwellers that make such a stench?

Exactly...if I were you girls, I would pull hair and gouge eyes too...when you're outgunned, you're outgunned. You have to use all available resources to *try* and level the playing field. If that means playing in Tiger stadium at 8PM, then so be it. A little plane flight down, kick a little ass, fly back home, that's it.

My post had nothing to do with saying you're scared to play us at night.....I'm just saying that there were apparently some rooms available and Tenn. turned them down.

And i'm not making it a a "big f'n deal".....people on this board were making it a big deal and I just posted some info about the situation.

Sorry for waking you up this morning!!

No. You were just coming onto OUR board, insighting with comments such as whining, after our school showed a good deal of class in the whole affair.

Go away or learn some manners, troll.

well SORRY......some of your own have even said the board is whining about the situation.

If you read my post and the hotel situation is true, I gave props to the way TENN handled it (leaving the rooms for people who might need them). And you say that as if LSU has not shown class.....please give me an example?

YOU are the one starting new threads about the whole affair. We have moved on to UF. LSU is an afterthought.

I am not here to debate with you. I said that as if you have shown no class. Reread this thread as an example.

Goodbye.

LSU fans are not making a big deal out of it? Are not making up shirts about the shole thing, saying UT is scared to play at night? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Take care now, bye-bye then :p

P.S. - Beat Florida.....I wanna top 5 match-up in Tiger Stadium. By the way, if that happens it will be the first time since 1959 that a top-5 match-up was played in TS.

Hey man, I'm sorry if I came off as an ass. I'm just so tired of hearing about how scared UT is of playing at night there.

Plus, I'm on edge with Gators on the horizon.

its cool..... :eek:k:

but what I didn't understand is I NEVER said anything about the night game thing. Just the hotel thing, since it was being discussed about LSU not having room for the team to stay.

Sorry for the whiner comment as that seems to have thrown you over the edge. :good:

well to me that doesn't make much sense? If it were a day game Tenn would be in a worse position....thus forcing Tenn to have to come down Friday or very early Sat. To me the night game is better for Tenn and your fans. Allows more travel time!!

**I'm not meaning for this to turn into a pissing match, just discussin the issue....i know some other threads have gotten out of hand.

I am still planning on going to the game. I had a blast the last time I went and was not going to miss this one. I got a room two days ago on hotwire in Jackson, MS. It is a little bit of a drive but well worth it.

Actually, I think you are right. While it sucks for the fans . . . From the team's standpoint, it's probably better that it's a night game since it will give them more time to acclimate themselves after flying down.

GScott...

Sorry to unload, but the whining comment was a bit much. With that said, let's put some things to rest.

We don't care. We had our opinions and reactions to the whole thing, but...

We Don't Care!

We will fly in, play the game, ***and we feel real good about our chances***.

We play FL this weekend. They are our prom date this week. Talk to you next week.

Now stop picking this scab and let it go.

-peace-

It's all good.

You point is well taken. The UTAD wanted a 2:30 kickoff to make travel easier after the game for both the team and fans. I dunno about you, but I have done the 5 hour drive home once after a game (2001 SECCG), and I will NEVER do it again. It's a wonder we didn't wreck that night, as my friend and I both were dog tired, even after switching up driving.

But you are right, the night game allows for more travel time BEFORE the game, but nothing afterward.

not so much for fans that got hotel rooms.....its actually better for them as well. Take bigdaddy for example, Staying in Jackson thats a 3 hr drive to BR, if the game were at 2:30, he would be in a rush to get up get down and tailgate with all of us.....but now that its a night game he can take his time and enjoy his trip. After the game he can drive back and be in his hotel room hopefully by 1-2 am......thats not bad for most!!

For the people pulling all nighters driving, well that is their choice, there are hotels available as bigdaddy has proven.......If not Jackson, there are many other smaller towns outside Jackson.

good luck guys, can't wait for next Saturday.......but to make it even better "KICK SOME GATOR A$$"

Keep in mind, geauxscott, that when this issue was originally brought up, it was thought that there would not be any rooms available within a 4-5 hour drive. Now that some are becoming available closer to Baton Rouge, things are changing a bit.
