Missouri's defensive line might have snuck up on some offenses this season.

That won't be the case for Tennessee's veteran offensive line.

the offensive line needs to step up there play,I personally think they are playing worse this year

of course a lot has changed from last year, new QBs,new coaches, new scheme, they should be adjusted to that by now and play calling is different also

Last year, we weren't facing 8 in the box. Running game looks better with a strong passing attack.

We're averaging 5.0 yards per carry this year, there are only around 3-4 other years since 1950 where we've averaged that. I thought they kinda struggled early, and have gotten better.

Havent we been waiting all year for the O-line to "prove" itself?...

They quietly have. I mean look how anemic Worley was early on and we still had good rushing numbers. You don't typically get that luxury. Make no bones about it this line has done what they were supposed to.

I'm still waiting for them to manhandle a D line. :whistling:

I think the line will work extra hard with Dobbs at the helm. Not that the didn't for JW.

I think some of the guys in our line are lowering their NFL draft stock with poor showings in these big games. Sometimes it looks as if they are not playing allout. I don't know enough about it to be sure, but it looks like there are too many blown assignments in these big games. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Right now most of our O linemen are playing for $$$ and the better they play now the higher they'll get drafted and the more $$$$ they'll make on their 1st NFL contract.

They need to start proving that they can dominate at their position no matter who is lined up against them.

They only have a few more games to really bring it so I'd think with a Freshman at QB they'll give it all they've got.

There's no doubt that for the rest of this season every team we play will stack the box to stop the run and will blitz alot to force Dobbs to prove that he and our WR's and TE's can beat them through the air.

When our passing game takes off they'll have to back off and defend the passing game and then our running game will also take off.

We're about to see our Vols really start the serious part of the #RisetotheTop portion of the bUTch plan.

JW is a good game manager, protected the ball well and is a decent passer but now we'll watch as Dobbs grows consistently all through every game and gets more and more confidence and he has a really serious arm with more hot sause on the ball so he can hit it in the smaller windown that JW didn't have enough zing on the ball to do.

The real future of Tennessee football starts right now and it's going to be fun to watch this rebuilding over the next few years.

I also agree with the others...we gon whip dey azz!!!

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!
