I was seeing what Vols stuff was on my local CL,and this was on there.I cant afford it,but its cool,and figured one of you might want it.

haha thats pretty sweet... The only thing that sucks is that you can't fix them if they break... 300 is a lot to pay for something thats 60+ years old and could break at any moment..

What makes them not fixable?

Lack of parts due to age and manufacturer out of business. We got a similar round top hard locking fridge with the deal when we bought our first house in 1981. It lasted about a year and died. The repairman checked it out and it had a bad thermostat which would cost $175 for parts (if he could find one) plus another $100 for installation. He hot wired it to run full out and we plugged/unplugged it for a week till we had time to get a new one delivered.

exactly what i was thinking..although a 50's fridge that still works is pretty boss on its own.
