Tennessee vs Auburn Thread

Maybe your defense has been exposed

89 points to a bottom feeder in the SEC?

Other than that...looks like a nice win

Seriously dude - it's called margin of victory. Ours is now likely higher than yours in SEC play.

Nah, we inspired Auburn to play better ball. That number 8 is a big bulls eye and Auburn gave it their best shot. Like I said earlier, we probably just took Auburn's best punch of the year and won convincingly.

I missed the game - did Auburn try the 1-3-1 zone? If so, it appears we figured that sucker out :biggrin2:

Yes, they did. They really didn't seem to do it alot.

HOW DOES UT STACK UP NATIONAL ON PER GAME SCORING AVG? ANYBODY KNOW? I KNOW THEY'RE LEADING THE SEC

About a week ago, I thought I heard we were 2nd nationally and 1st in the SEC

Did someone suggest the other day that Auburn runs that killer 1-3-1 defense?

I mentioned it, but I didn't call it killer.

I seriously doubt that...winning by 16 points isn't some grand achievement.

but like I said....nice win.

Don't be sad, you'll get another shot at us.

Going into this week, both UT and UF had margins of victory in the SEC of about 9 points per game. This 16 point MOV may have upped our average.

I still can't get over that second half defense, or lack thereof.

Auburn was never really in the game but man... good thing UT was hot as well.

On the other hand the gators only managed 69 points against Auburn, and only won by 12. Our offense managed nearly 40 points more.

:post-20645-1119625378: That's no surprise, really. I knew they had to be way up there the way they've been lighting it up. Thanks for the informatiion. Makes for a good night's sleep.

105 looks nice no matter what the other team has, as long as it's less of course.

Was gonna ask if that's the highest score anyone's saw this year, but just last night Fairfield beat someone 109-108.

It's all coming back to me now, didn't the Vols score 106 earlier this season as well? Against one of the ETSU's of the world or something?

I tried to add a stats link from NCAA but it doesn't work right.

Before tonight, we ranked 6th in total scoring with 82.4/game. Leader is Campbell? at 83.7.

Tonight's game will take the average to 83.5 which would tie us with Duke for second based on current #s.

Wow, just got home a little while ago... talk about burning the nets off the rim! I was disappointed in the defense in the second half... we gave up a lot of easy points under the rim. Good win though. 16 made threes...

When player and team records start to fall, you know you're dealing with something special. But we knew this team was special a while back. The question is, just how special are they?
