#9 Tennessee vs #1 MSU Quarterfinals (SECN 5:30 11/5) ⚽️ SEC TOURNAMENT 11/3-11/10

Yea, we in theory could emulate the Dorrance strategy this year: Play starters 25 minutes, bring in a unit of 7/8 new players to see out the half. You have to confidence in the second unit and they have to play well together to make it work.
Got to figure out a practice platform that maximizes reps for all of the players. As you know, the reps are very lopsided and significantly favor the players the coaches think are starters - it's why we look off when players have to sub in for injuries - player exchanges or subs should be fluid to the point that we, the fans, can't tell the difference from one athlete to another- kinda.

Pensky’s second season was disappointing. For only the second time in school history, the Lady Vols failed to make either the SEC or NCAA Tournament. The first time came in 1997.

I’d say the highlight of the season occurred in Orlando when the Lady Vols upset #17 UCF, Hannah Wilkinson scored the match winner.

Really excited for spring soccer! I do have to admit tho that I was also excited about the prospect of enjoying an overpriced Miller Lite and hotdog as well while I pondered how we will play all the talent on this roster. Can’t complain too much though!

University of Tennessee coaches will be at this event in Texas this weekend.

LVFL Danielle Marcano with the PR National Team preparing for the big Gold Cup match which is this Saturday.

Haiti will be a difficult matchup for Puerto Rico. They are athletic. Any of the other preliminary teams would have been better. Maybe Marcano can make a difference! Great to see her get some international experience.

2015 Season

Tennessee got off to a hot start, beginning the season 5-0-3 thanks to solid defense and goalkeeping. The Vols finished the year with a 7-5-6 overall record. UT ended the season in a three-way tie for ninth in the SEC, but missed out on the conference tournament after losing a tiebreaker with Kentucky and Georgia.

In Pensky’s fourth season, Tennessee failed to qualify for the SEC or the NCAA tournament. Missing the big dance for the third straight year.

I think this was Pensky's first /good/ recruiting class. Six of these players became starters and good players for us--some became very good SEC players. I think Pensky was slow to give Marcano the minutes she needed to develop, and it wasn't until her junior year, as I recall, that she was playing a lot. But this was a group that really boosted our team strength.
