What’s the best way to go about purchasing Men’s basketball game tickets for Tennessee/LSU on January 8? Any help would be much appreciated.

Looking for 4 tickets.

I’d look for a broker that will refund what you’ve paid in case there’s a COVID cancellation. Vivid Seats is the official UT reseller. They have some sort of buyer’s guarantee.
Bought my Memphis basketball game tickets through Ticketmaster. Refunded 100% what I paid, including fees. Not advocating for them, just giving my recent experience.

It looks like Vivid does the same. I wonder if the sellers are the bag holders or if those ridiculous fees actually provide a benefit.

Unless your looking for abuse, no way I would go to an LSU game while they think they are good.

Took me almost 3 months and a complaint to the state consumer office to get a refund from Vivid for the canceled UT-SCAR last year.

Vivid refuses to refund canceled games until the end of NCAA tournament on the premise that the game could still be rescheduled in spite of one team not making the tournament and the second being eliminated.

Yes. Their customer service is ass. I sold tickets to a football game the day before and their CSRs were useless. They didn’t have enough staff to handle the rush.

I can understand waiting out a cancelled date until there is zero chance of it being rescheduled. They weren’t ready for the COVID chaos.

I sold my FB tickets with Vivid directly. It might have gone smoother had I registered through UT since they are the exclusive reseller.

I’ve thought of this. I live 1 hour outside of Baton Rouge. I got pelted with ice the first half of the football game where we came back from 21-0 deficit (Hurricane Katrina). I left at halftime and it was the worst football game experience of my life. I’d like to make a UT game though.. Hard to pass up.

I received my refund from Ticketmaster four days ago for the UT- Memphis cancellation. My brother had issues w Vivid, too.

I've also already received my refund from Ticketmaster for the Memphis game.

Goes to show how bad of a company Vivid is that Ticketmaster is much, much better at customer service than they are.

I would also recommend vivid seats as your best chance for reasonably priced resale tickets with a refund for cancellation. I purchased tickets through vivid for game 3 of the TN-LSU baseball super regional, which was not played since UT swept the series in 2 (yay!), and can confirm that I did receive a refund since the game wasn't played.
