Tennessee vs. Middle Tennessee Postgame Notes

Watching on Nashville t.v. last night I noticed:
New rules make for lots of foul calls this season;
New freshmen impressive, especially M. Russell;
Big crowd & NOT mostly clad in orange this time;
Announcers, remarking about UT playing UTC & MTSU in season openers: "Not every team in Tennessee would do something like that" (taking a shot at vandie?);
Holly Warlick has her hands full, but talent is there.

as i mentioned on another thread the LVs had the most fouls called of any game played last night. Particularly on the inside game, If the game at UNC is called the same way the game will be hours longer with the calls.

It will be interesting over the year whether the less athletic teams will significantly benefit from the rule changes, and of course I'm including the teams that already have learned the "flop.'

Why do you think the less athletic team will benefit? Seems to me that the more talented team will benefit because they will not be hampered by illegal moves.

Dearstone was saying that MTSU was going into the paint and chucking the ball up,hoping to draw fouls,was that happening ?
