@Vol_Hoops: Trae Golden adds 14 points in the win, while Quinton Chievous had a hard-earned 11 points. D'Montre Edwards was next with eight points.
@vol_Hoops: Tennessee hold on for the 82-68 win over Atletas. Jarnell Stokes finishes with 21 points.

I like Stokes' output. I would really like someone to post the minutes played somewhere. Curious why McBee, McRae and Hall all seemed absent.

McRae had a good first half, and hall didn't play which is probably why he seemed absent.

While Hall is not necessarily a key component. I was hoping he could keep his head on straight and provide some much needed experience and depth behind Maymon and Stokes.

Absolutely, he's very important and makes our post trio that much better. If he plays to his potential we may have the best frontcourt in the nation.

Makes you wonder what he did. He played last game and we heard nothing, and they didn't practice between days???

Maybe he didn't play well in the first game. Hall has always been a world of talent but could just completely not show up during some games.

From what I heard, we had to beat the refs in this game, too.

That's pretty standard for Euro trip games. When Pearl took his bunch over there before his 3rd season, they had to overcome some home cooking in basically every game. To the point where he even commented on it. It basically is what it is. I am sure those teams get tired of getting thrashed and abused by US teams and just try to level it out a bit with some friendly calls.

I'm getting the feeling that this is how Cuonzo likes to send messages to his players. I'm cool with it.

I sometimes wonder if Kenny's attitude is what's holding him back. I don't have anything to go off of other than body language, but I've always had the impression that he's a little mentally soft. Looks like Cuonzo is doing all he can to exercise those demons.

CCM will have to, and Kenny will have to listen, or we will be getting a heavy dose of Yemi, Miller, and 4 guard line-ups.

Am I the only person that was at least halfway impressed with Miller last year? I dont read much about him here. I know he isnt a 15 and 10 guy but I felt, watching him last year, that he could be the first big off the bench if Hall couldnt get his head on straight. He seemed to be a decent rebounder and defender, and I remember seeing him take it coast to coast a couple times and finish...impressive for a big. Just a thought...

His offense wasn't too bad, but his defense was horrendous, and rebounding wasn't too great either. I definitely prefer yemi over miller, doubt he sees the floor much at all this year.

Brendan Quinn, UT hoops beat writer for the KNS, posted on his twitter why Hall didn't play.

Coach's decision. Cuonzo said, "He needs to play harder." It was left at that.

Also, UT was called for 33 of the 46 total fouls called in the game.
