It's ok when Butch does. Just don't let anyone else do it.

I think everyone is missing the point. Jones didnt call anyone by name unlike the "coaches" here on VN.

When worley was benched at florida i think that sent a message about our qb situation. He didnt say worley sucks(unlike most of the folks on here did/do) but he knew the qb position wasnt performing. Did it work? Nope but at least we found out worley was our best option.

The backups are always the best players til they get in the game.

Lastly, with all the RS freshmen and true freshman playing what did anybody really expect?

I fully look for us to give auburn all they can handle and then some. Upset number two on the way baby.

GBO!!!!

Dude we have walk-on's on the field. I don't think he's being critical, zero-depth is very evident.

I think he is being very critical, walk ons and all,i believe a message is being sent ,especially for those that want to play next year,

(and damn it is flying by,I'm to old for this lol)

it is late in the year and CBJ and staff are going to be looking as to who will give 100% effort and who isn't,who is tough and who isn't

A. He's right.

B. Where are all the guys that get all upset at posters on here criticizing players? That is essentially what CBJ just did.

Again...."we have absolutely zero depth" is worlds away from " I told you these guys were no good", which Dookey actually said one time.

I think if I were someone who worked hard every day in practice but had not gotten a chance to show what I could do in a real game situation... I'd feel a little "thrown under the bus" right now.

I especially think if I were Crowder, Kerbyson, Wiesman, Saulsberry... watching the guys in front of me give half effort... that comment would be pretty offensive.

Before you attack... Please tell me this. How many of the guys on the roster who cannot be considered "depth" right now were with the team for spring practice? The summer? If you've had that much time to get a guy ready... why do you have zero depth?

In as much as this is true... it is as much of an indictment of his assistants as it is the players.

Many here have said that M Foreman can fly. So he's been on the team working with his coach since the summer... and can't make any valuable contribution? JRM? R Jones? M Williams?

Why would UT have "zero" depth on the OL or DL at this point?

Now Butch is throwing assistant coaches under the bus with the backups?

"I think the thing right now, in the realities of building our program, is we have absolutely zero depth," Jones said. "That's been extremely evident."

i was surprised at this statement by CBJ ,sounds like he is frustrated to the max,he is usually good at the coach speak

He's being honest, that's what U want your coach to be. The player's need to hear that too. They will either give up and quit or strive to get better! The writing is on the wall for those guys. Get better or u will be replaced next year.
