Just depends on what Rick does. I think we may see him 3rd series but if Rick is hot or if Ainge struggles that may be it.

UF players seem to think we will run at them. Where would they have got such a crazy idea? :dunno:

yea well :espn: , I think we will see Ainge after either a Clausen mistake(**crosses fingers**), or maybe just on the 3rd drive.

mark may just actually got done picking us to win(not that that means anything) and desmond howard just said he thought UF's wr's were better but the great thing was hearing a UF DL say how we took the ball down there throats last year on an 80-yard drive and running it on every down.

Rushing No Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg
-------------------------------------------------
Gerald Riggs Jr. 23 113 3 110 0 15 4.8

Passing Att-Cmp-Int Yds TD Long Sack

Rick Clausen 24-17-1 217 1 53 0

When you look at the stats from last game, the numbers that really impress me are Clausens, especially considering the number of drops.

I think we will have to pass the ball more against Florida. Clausen is throwing the ball well. Running was tough against UAB I think it will be tougher against Florida with a tougher D.

However, I think the receivers will play a lot better. I think the drops were just a lack of concentration, that can be corrected in a week. I look for a big game from Clausen. Clausen plays cool under pressure. I think he is emerging as the leader on this team. If you hear Fulmer talk they are not concerned about the QB position.

Riggs is running hard, the O-line just isnt playng well. Especially considering how undersized UAB d-line was. It will be a lot tougher against Florida, thats why I think we can pass the ball better then run against Florida.

We won't have a freshman playing on the line against UF if things go well. Not that I'm blaming anything on Foster, overall he did a good job.

It will just be nice to get Smith back where he needs to be and Gandy should add a little more push to the line.

I hope it's a night and day difference from the UAB game.

With Florida and Tennessee tying for second in sending the most players to the NFL, it's no wonder that there's bound to be some Gators and Vols clashing in locker rooms before Saturday night's game. Put them in lockers facing each other, and it only gets worse.

Former Gator tight ends Ben Troupe and Erron Kinney are separated by only a few feet from ex-Vol fullback Troy Fleming in the Titans locker room. Troupe said Fleming is his friend, but he knows people make mistakes.

"I was never ever my head coach's favorite player you know ... He's the coach's pet," Troupe said with Fleming watching from behind TV cameras. "In all seriousness, it's going to be a fun game."

Asked for a prediction, Fleming yelled out, "35-15 Vols," and Troupe said, "Just switch the ending."

A couple stalls down, Kinney offered up his own prediction of Florida scoring 50 points and winning.

"Man, you're not going to score 50 points," Fleming said.

"They're mad because they got beat last year. They keep talking about they got Urban Meyer ... Their offense is better but really they're not because they've got no running game."

Luckily, former Vol defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and ex-Gator left guard Zach Piller stayed away from the fray.

I enjoyed this read.....Tell' em Troy

Fulmer will want to control the ball / game clock. Turnovers and 3-and-out do not help with that game plan. Clausen is conservative, but if he keeps the ball away from UF's offense, then Fulmer will be happy. Expect to see alot of runs and short passes this weekend. If Clausen can't put any drives together that eat time, then look for Ainge to come in and try to put points on the board.

Clausen as long as the Vols lead or game is close..... Ainge if the Vols fall behind by at least 2 scores.
