Guys honestly if we didn't have a bad a** coach already secured and we somehow hadn't figured out Miles could be had, seems like we would throw more money at him than Arky at this point just to see. I think this bodes well for us as far as getting Gruden or at least someone more desirable than Miles( not a lot of these coaches out there).

Grudeman Style 2013.

Les Miles made a deal with the devil or something. That guy gets away with more boneheaded moves than any coach I've ever seen. Give him a team where he can't get bailed out by his defense all the time and he's in trouble.

IMO, Miles underperforms almost annually with his talent level. I don't want him. Reminds me of a coach UT once had...............

I'd love to have Les Miles but I wouldn't worry about him leaving LSU for Arkansas or Tennessee.

I've always said he has had to sold his soul as well. He literally acts like a bumbling fool. Some of the calls he makes that actually work out to his favor is simply ridiculous.

I don't want him eating grass or digging in his ears with our beloved orange on. No thanks.

I agree, the recruits that Miles gets every year, they should be in the SEC Champ game every year.....Miles is not that good of a coach, he wins on talent alone.

I completely disagree.

I really really dislike LSU and hate to say this, but Les Miles is a great football coach.. He's got incredible passion for the game and he isn't afraid to take a chance if its rewards mean the "W". His players love him (obviously after the Ole Miss presser, the feeling is mutual) and he signs a good recruiting class every year. You can't ask for too much more than that.

That being said, Miles won't leave LSU. He'll use the offers from Arkansas to get a raise from the AD over in Death Valley.. But if we were able to pull Miles (not saying we can or are trying or anything.. just hypothetically), I would definitely get behind a coach that passionate.

I've said before that if I was ever in Louisiana and a hurricane was coming I'd go straight to Les Miles' house.... Every home in the state could be leveled but his would be standing without a scratch....

took some big-time risks in big games--fourth down plays mostly--and they always seemed to go LSU's way. It was uncanny--and the complete opposite of Dooley's luck. Our team NEVER caught a break--and didn't make any breaks, either, yes.

Why would Miles leave LSU? If he went to Ark it would be a downgrade imo. Right now TN is too down to make a lateral move make sense. He is set at LSU with some of the most fertile recruiting grounds any coach could wish for. I could be wrong but didn't he turn Michigan down when they fired Rich Rod?

Not sure about that time but when they hired Rich Rod they went after Miles first and he shot them down

Les Miles would last a half season in orange before someone from VN run over him with their truck

Les Miles is the Joe Biden of the SEC. Bizarre behavior and stupid statements are so commonplace, they've become expected and thus, forgiven. No thanks.

Arkansas offers Miles? Hilarious.

In other breaking news, Liechtenstein has extended an offer to Obama to become their next President.

Top notch coach....
won national championship..
could recruit the Louisana, Alabama and Texas areas..
would bring "chief" back to Knoxville...

if he has ANY interest in Arkansas..he should jump at Tenn....with that amount of money....and the fact it gets him out of the west division...

no brainer in my opinion...it appears Gruden is a lost cause and a headache...

Less Les is more. We'll be fine without Les.
