The segment was about Texas Tech, and they actually went into depth rather than just mentioning it like a quirky thing a coach was doing. By the end of the segment, it sounded like a great and logical idea for teaching "good hands".
As far as baseball pitching machines.... I kind've instinctively like it, but you'd need to amp them up so much to duplicate our QB's. What about 40mm mortars set for 80 yards with baseballs in them that explode if you don't catch them and the WRs get a 3 second head start?
Of course, to be fair, you'd also have to also set up and additional exercise for the QBs which uses those rolling targets they use for passing contests in the Battle of the NFL Stars, where there's a radio control between the target and a small electrode planted in the QB's jock.
Hell, boys, we've got a plan!!
All we need to do is come up with similar exercises for the other positions, plant the same electrodes under whichever dewlap COACH hides his jock under, and we've got the all the pieces of motivational genius in the making.........
