Tennis Vols win the SEC!

Congratulations on the UT Vols for winning the SEC championship today. They defeated 2nd place Georgia 6-1 and ended the season undefeated in the SEC. I believe we are ranked #2 in the nation with JP Smith ranked #1 in singles. Congrats and good luck in the NCAA's!

I could have sworn that UT won the NCAA's one year when I was there. I was wrong...we got second. In looking this up, I noticed that the guy who won the NCAA's in singles in 1999, Jeff Morrison, is a guy I played against in High School (I didn't win). I had no idea he won the NCAA's...I never kept up with it.

Let the record reflect that Mr. Morrison was a couple years older than me...but that said age difference had absolutely no impact on my inability to play at a level even loosely comparable to what he was bringing to the court.

I am surprised to see that Tennessee doesn't have a National Championship... a couple of runner-ups, but no NC.
