I have to say I did not think Texas A&M would have this great first year. Just saw where just got a new 4star WR and the other three are over 6'4" and big a powerful according to Talking SEC Football. The Hiesman really helped them.
UT also make an offer today:
offer
Paul Fortenberry
VolQuest.com 3 Star number 48 at his position.
In new coach Butch Jones' opening press conference last Friday, he cited having an open door policy for all letter-winners. On Monday night, he extended that open door to Ryan Jenkins, son of former Vol Lee Jenkins, and offered the 50-foot-10, 180-pound slot receiver a scholarship.
The Marietta, Ga., athlete spoke to coach Jones Monday night after not hearing form the Vols for some time.
I like that he is 50 ft tall :)

Did we just get a commit? Or, did we just offer someone who just committed to TAMU?

Oh, now it makes sense. We offered to someone worse than aTm did. We suck.

But that wasn't the first receiver that we offered. I'm so confused.

According to the article it was the first reported offer from CBJ. It was a Legacy offer so maybe that is why it was highlighted.
I would have thought that that CBJ would want to make a big splash by offering a four or five star first just to get the moral going.
I am really concerned about this recruiting year if nothing else just from a momentum point of view.

What the hell are you talking about? Jenkins is a 4 star receiver from Georgia. So the guy at Texas a&m is better because he's taller? Hell Matt Milton was tall. I try my best to avoid saying things like this but in this case it is well deserved. You are a dumb ass.

The article I attached says 3 star, you are correct why would anyone want a tall, strong, fast WR? Julio Jones, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines Ward etc were not very good.
Don't know who you are but calling people you don't know dumb is out of line, you can say my comments are dumb, In Your opinion, but calling me dumb without knowing who I am is somewhat suspect. I did forget the "e" my bad.

When did I say that we wouldn't want a tall, strong fast wide receiver? You are blasting CBJ because the receiver he offered isn't as tall at the receiver that Texas A&M offered. Just because a guy is tall doesn't necessarily make him better especially at the WR position. Still have to be able to catch the football.

No, what I am saying is that most people would consider a 4 star tall, big fast receiver is a better bet than a 3 star short, strong, fast receiver. According to the gang at Inside the SEC, A&M now has 3 WRs commits over 6' 3 over 200 pounds and fast.
When CBJ reels in 4 and 5 star recruits and is top ten in recruiting I will be among the first to applaud.

Two words

Anger management

I'm not angry I just call it like I see it.

You didn't "attach" an article, Hines Ward is only 5'11", it's Heisman not Hiesman, It's morale not moral and you said quote "we suck" in referencing UT but your worried how I represent the University?

I copied and pasted the article it said three star, you said four star, no biggie. Hines Ward NFL page say 6' 205 not 5' 11 no biggie. I admitted I messed up and forgot the "e" . Yes I was being sarcastic the poster said so we suck? Which I did not say, it was just easier to say yes. However, it would be hard to argue that our football has not sucked the last few years.
The issue that needs to be addressed is the name calling. Like I said you don't know me, my IQ or my profession or anything else. I resent the name calling. An apology is in order.

An apology for a fragmented quagmire of an opening post? Hint - be clear and concise. If sarcasm is hinted at most posters go along. But your thread starter was obtuse at best.
