Texas A&M-LSU to play on Thanksgiving

I don't like it. I've enjoyed watching Ark-LSU these past couple of years.

Arky fans are in meltdown mode about it, and no one even knows if it's true or not! Jackie is a bit senile these days...

I do think that it's just a matter of time until A&M/LSU become bigger rivals than LSU/ARK, so moving the game would make sense.

A&M is going to be a monster to deal with if/when they finally completely get their act together. Got EVERY built-in advantage that LSU does...

If A&M can ever get its football program back on it's feet, A&M-LSU will be bigger than Arky-LSU. A&M and LSU go way back.

In compensation, Arkansas-Missouri can play on Thanksgiving weekends. We'd potentially have two new border rivalries on the final weekend to go along with the other final week compelling games like Alabama-Auburn, Ole Miss-Miss State, etc.

That would help create the Mizzou-Arky rivalry - put it at the end of the season.

This move only makes sense. The Egg Bowl used to be on Thanksgiving night. I always liked having 3 days of SEC football to watch. I would hate to see this game replace the Friday game, though.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing that Friday game move around with different rivalries being featured. I would love to see UT in that slot, but the Kentucky game doesn't have much national appeal.

The SEC schedule I saw released today says LSU-Texas Aggies on Oct 20.

LSU-Arky on Nov 23.

2012 schedule has been set for a while now. Anything voted or changed wasn't going to be effecting this year's schedule.

(for example: Missouri doesn't play Arkansas)
