Manziel so far is completely unstoppable against 2nd string defense. Offense (Maroon) leads the defense (white) 26-7.

Edit: ^^ in 2nd quarter

Watched beginning of it. Their second team defense was strong. Really strong. Those two transfer backs will help them. Two new O-line starters will hurt them. Still a top level team overall.

Watched this bc I was bored ^

We counted after the first quarter.

They said Johnny Manzal 403 times

Just a fun fact.

Thats less than Kentucky, according to one of the Ky posters in their spring game thread. Not that thats a bad thing, thats probably more than we'll have

Only reason so many UK fans showed up, is because they knew they were going to win.:)

Couple of things...

I think the attendance would have been higher had ESPN not televised the game. That said, I was surprised that many attended.

The record they broke was Dennis Franchione's first spring game, when Aggies everywhere (including myself), thought we'd finally found our coach. :eek:hmy:

I know Vandy had theirs yesterday, and I saw the highlights on the local news. There had to be no more than 15,000 there, as the shots I saw one entire side of the stadium was empty, as was most of the endzone.

I saw these figures posted elsewhere for other spring game attendance, don't shoot me if they're incorrect.

attendance figures so far:
Kentucky: 50,831
Texas A&M: 45,212
Georgia: 45,113
South Carolina: 30,000+
Mississippi: 28,000
Florida: <15,000
Vanderbilt: 14,000
April 20th games: Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, Miss State

45K is a great turnout for practice, no matter how you slice it.

We talkin' 'bout PRACTICE! :)

That's really surprising that Florida's game had that few show up, though didn't they barely have enough for a game?

I thought I heard it was more of a glorified practice than a scrimmage. That would make sense as to why their numbers are so low.

Only 15,000 show up in gaynessville..... I reckon Muschamps crazy stare ran them off lol.

I don't take much pride in hating James Franklin but it made my heart glow when I saw the attendance figure at his spring game. He was all over the radio (midday 180 interview is a must listen if you haven't yet) and after all the press, player access, secondary events and other incentives he couldn't even draw 15k says a lot about that program.

I remember last year early in college fantasy football picking this guy named Manziel, whom nobody had picked. Needless to say he was soon a really valuable player. Can't wait to see him and the Aggies this year.
