Fairly entertaining game so far.

It was 21-16 Texas with Missouri’s defense getting the Tiger offense back on the field with a stop, however a high snap later and it’s 23-16 Texas and the Longhorns have the ball right back to end the 3rd quarter.

This is a Big 12 “reunion” (though these two teams didn’t really have too much history with each other between 1996-2011...they maybe played each other 9 times as Big 12 conference mates). Their last meeting in 2011 saw a 17-5 Missouri victory at Faurot field.

Tigers have been somewhat turnover happy today though.

Along with the high snap safety, they have fumbled twice: one of which was returned by Texas for touchdown difference in the current score.

I'm flipping between this and the Purdue/Arizona game on Fox, both good games.

Agree.

Though to be fair, this game should also have been Texas and A&M not Texas v Missouri. I’m not sure if Texas, A&M, or the SEC front office was the preventative force on that one though.

Ah the Missouri defense.

Texas has to throw it was running right on 3rd down and long, and the Missouri defensive lineman hits him two steps afterwards.

A field goal makes it 26-16 Longhorns with about 12 minutes left. This is pretty much a Texas home game.

Edit: Was Texas’s band playing during that last kickoff (you can hear Texas fight during the kickoff return)? I thought bands couldn’t do that during plays.

Longhorns get a first down on 3rd and long with about 6 min left.

In a 10-point game, that likely decided it.

Texas’s punter today:

11 punts

10 of them inside the 20.

8 of those 10 inside the 10.

4 of those 8 inside the 5.

And Lock is picked off at the 10 to finalize it with 3 minutes left.

Texas will win 26-16, and finish the season 7-6 in their first year under Herman with a win over an impressive Iowa State team and very close losses to Oklahoma and USC.

Following a game full of a ton of miscues and some bad mistakes, Missouri falls to 7-6 in a season where it started 1-5 across the first 6 games.

Texas moves to 18-6 in meetings with Missouri.

Edit: Whoops. Texas went for the rub it in touchdown with 1 minute 40 left. 33-16 Texas final score.

Ehlinger might be pretty good next I know he came close to beating some good teams this year

Dang, Texas getting dirty with the game in hand (right after their coach was strutting around making fun of Missouri’s “horns down” before the game).

Same play, the defensive linemen makes sure to get in an extra roughing on Missouri’s QB Lock after the pass was off and Texas’s DB targets the Tigers WR (when he wasn’t even really able to try to make a catch on that ball).
