He's tried to clear out a lot of rot in that program. And has done a pretty good job so far. But I'm afraid the Texas fan base and boosters, which are the models of patience, rational thinking and understanding, won't put up with another 6-6, 7-5 season and he'll be sent packing after this year.

He's got to impress this season by winning at least eight regular season games and making a halfway decent bowl.

Could be entirely unrelated, but jerrod heard just switched to WR... Making their QB battle a bit more clear. Now between swoopes and buechele. Buechele was the #4 dual threat QB in the class of 2016 (our own JG was #1), and swoopes has been impressive running the ball but only completed 50% of his passes a year ago.

I think buechele wins out, but swoopes still carries the ball some. Big game week 1 against ND.

I don't think he'll get another year let alone two unless he makes a big jump in wins this year (9+).
