I’m not a super smart person however, I find it odd that Texas literally cancelled our game against them literally hours before it was supposed to be played because of a positive COVID case then turned right around less than a week later and played a game? What am I missing here? Isolation of a positive case is, at most, 2 weeks. Someone help me understand!

I’ll try to help here.

The CDC guidelines say that after 7 days from exposure to someone who had tested positive, if you have a negative test you can end quarantine.

It’s from the day of exposure. That was probably the day before or earlier than the Tennessee game. That could have been that Friday or Saturday. Or even a day or two earlier. The test for the original person didn’t come back until just before the Tennessee game so they had to cancel. They also cancelled the Thursday game with Kansas.

Clearly the 7 days from exposure were up before the Friday night game.

No one in the Texas program had COVID. It was exposure to someone that ended up having COVID.

I know many here want to think something nefarious happened and Texas didn’t want to play Tennessee. All they did was follow the rules.

Having recently gone through covid-19 protocols myself, this information is correct.

I truly didn’t understand based off of so many different versions of how long a quarantine should last, whether or not it was a member of their team who was positive for COVID, etc. I really appreciate your explanations. Thank you! 😊🧡

They've got a phone
there is a precedent for rescheduling
unless they watched the Indiana game
then they may be just a little scared
Why would any good team be afraid to play Tennessee, especially the way they have played so far? Based on some comments on this board, Tennessee is not playing well. I don't agree with that. They are not playing their best now but I think they will get better.

I'll put it this way
The Lady Vols finally played the game that they are capable of against Indiana,,,
With the players they have on their roster,,2 things
Consider, if they continue to do this
Consider, if they get better

It was all about a fan or parent of the team cooked a dinner for the team and was around them without being tested. Evidently they could not test this person for some odd reason and so cancelled the game.
