The owners were smart enough to agree to get rid of the stupid force out rule. And no more 5-yard facemask penalty. Unfortunately, no resolution was made on getting rid of the long hair.

When I lived in MI there was a morning show I listened to religiously and one of the djs would always say that people with long hair loved themselves so much and that was the only way to make more of themselves. Grow their hair longer. :eek:lol:

What was stupid about the force out rule? Now all you're going to see is db's pushing/carrying WRs out of bounds.

Ruins the game. It will be no different than it is now except that an official won't be judge and jury of whether someone may or may not have been able to get both feet down in bounds. If you don't get two feet down in bounds, you're not in bounds. Simple as that.

It didn't ruin the game.

Now all you'll see is the defense pushing/carrying wrs out of bounds. A stationary wr jumps for a ball and a defender hits him in the air and carries him several feet to the sideline. That's lame.

I don't think you have to worry about a db carrying someone halfway across the field to keep him from getting his feet down.

Without the force out rule, the NFL should go to one foot down.

Also, not sure if I understand getting rid of the 5-yard facemask penalty. Does this mean that any time a facemask is grabbed it will result in a 15 yard penalty? If so, that is absolutely ridiculous.

The facemask must be grabbed and jerked to draw a flag now from my understanding.
