TElliott was very public about his distaste for the UT job, and his feelings were it was beneath him.

Sorry, I just got home from church and logged in… Nothing in my original post was referring to the shooting or Virginia. Sole focus on the coach we offered. My mistake on not even thinking of the tragic situation that occurred.

I can't blame someone for not taking the Tennessee job then. It seemed to be a kind of Russian roulette. If you pull the trigger you might be ok or you might not. What he didn't take into account was that NIL could come in and make cash payment of players a much less offensive act. Also that our admin did a good job of getting on it as soon as they heard about it. But I still can't blame anyone for turning us down then. I'm very glad he did, though.
