You know with all that has happened over the past month or so I am impressed with the guys that have stuck with us. As a vol fan that is the spirit we as fans need to have for these young men. There are going to be tough times in the near future when we feel like calling for someones head for a busted play and I hope that we will remember that they are VOLUNTEERS and give them an opportunity at redemption as they have us. Thank you class of 2014 I look foward to cheering you guys on and hope you make us proud.

He's talking about the recruits coming in this year (class of 2014) and thanking them for sticking with a program that is in a serious rebuilding mode...

I got that, but there are only a few kids that seem to really want to be here.

The rest are here because they are obligated too, unless they want to sit a year, what freshmen would want to do that?

NO, we have a solid class of folks who want to be here and when they sign on NSD that mean they have CHOSEN to be HERE..... so I am grateful. They could say, man the junk is really hittin the fan up at ut we better stear clear of them but they are not we are still in play for quite a few and if we end up with a top 20 class we need to realize these young men have taken a chance to help us move in the right direction, so I appreciate this class.

Actually, I feel most of them want to be here, I think only 1 of them was "obligated", which is Sims(correct me if I am wrong), he had signed his letter. The rest could have walked away and reopened their recruitment for the final 3 weeks and went somewhere else.

This. I am very pleased with the EE's who stuck with us and wanted to be Vols. Bray, Fugate, and Milton couldn't leave without sitting a year either since they participated in bowl practices. I think all 8 of them wanted to be here and will be great players for us in the coming years.

I also want to thank not only the EEs but the whole team - Each of you truly bleed orange - I believe our team will be more unified and stronger from the craziness over the last few weeks - So should the Vol Nation It is great to be a Tennessee Vol - every day -

If they wanted out bad enough they would get out. Honestly, most freshmen don't play a whole lot anyways. So they could transfer and get redshirted and then start playing a year later.
