This was one of the most fun seasons of my life. We came up short, but “March Madness” has its name for a reason. We lost but I’m damn proud of this team. They played hard, unselfish, fought, and got better all year. It’s tough when one off night is the end. But it is what it is. Fulky…I’m going to miss you. I wish we could have made it deep for you. Chandler…I’m proud you chose to come to Tennessee and man I’m going to miss you. As a former athlete I cried seeing him cry and knowing that feeling of it being over.

Bottom line, thank you to each and every one of the players who gave us such a fun season to watch. And thank you to Coach Barnes and all of the assistants. Y’all had a hell of a year.

Fun season up until the end. The end always sucks because it’s always going to be on a loss. Doesn’t really matter when. Odds on winning it all in any year for us are pretty much 0.0 %

I actually expected to lose this game because I expected a bad shooting game. We had so many good shooting games in a row we were due for a bad one. Couple that with the karma thing. This board spent so much energy trashing Michigan from the time the made the tourney. Heck we even did a Michigan lookalike thread which is never done in the basketball forum.

I will continue to preach this: Michigan did not deserve to be in the tourney. The committee as I understand it is supposed to pick on résumé, not who they think are “best”. Their resume on selection Sunday is still what it was, and it was not good enough for an at large bid, IMO

Yea that on top of the fans that went to the Kentucky board laughing rubbing their noses in it. Never got all of that. Guess I got soft when I got older bc I know how much it hurts to lose.

We had a great year. 2nd in the SEC league play. Winning the SEC tournament and consistently living in the top 20 all year by any measure for our program is a very successful year. The NCAA tournament often harshly diminishes some of that, but it shouldn’t. Not after beating Kentucky 2x, highly ranked Auburn, Arizona and a blue blood UNC.

Won an sec championship for the first time. Only 1 out of 68 teams ends the season on a high note. While I wish we would of lasted longer, proud of this team.

This was a terrific team and season. Thanks for the great moments and congratulations on a fine season that demonstrated the hard work and progress of the players. Glad most of the group should return for another fun basketball journey. Thanks for your effort and quality representation of the University of Tennessee.

I have some criticisms of tonight's game, but I will hold off on those for the time being. It was a great season, but it's time to get back to work. Don't get mad, get better.
