Has anyone considered that maybe we reap what we sow? I remember a few yrs ago the Vol fanatics were promoting a dynasty that was being built "brick by brick". Then it was how Alabama was going to suffer because we had snatched away their architect of defense. (Apparently Kirby Smart must have been tutored by CJP). The Tide seem to be doing ok without him. Then we read post after post of how any available coach may be coming to UT. I'm not convinced that many would want to coach here. Is there a more fickle fan base in football? They love Kiffin before they hate him. They love Dooley before they hate him. They love Jones before they hate him. They love Pruitt before they hate him. Does anyone else believe our fan base is part of the problem?

No, 4 straight bargain bin hires is the problem....
I actually think Kiffin may have turned it around (if we hadn't wound up on probation). As for the other three I totally agree. My point was that when CJP was hired people on this board had him as the next Saban. The same with Jones etc.

No!
So what problem do you have with the innocent until proven guilty approach?
I mean UT fans support a new coach giving him the chance to prove he belongs here.
Once he proves he doesn’t they then are ready to move on.
What’s the problem?

Fans are definitely a problem. Mainly the morons that believe we’re supposed to love a clown at head coach moreso than the program we grew up supporting with our time and money.

fans don’t throw pick sixes, or let a WR get 5 yards behind them

I have no problem with an innocent until proven guilty approach. An innocent man will rarely be proven guilty. Saban was a winner before he went to Alabama and he is still winning. But if I'm trying to win a race and my opposition is furnishing their driver with a Corvette and I'm being furnished a Corvair, I think I know who will win the race lol. Should it take years of futility to accept this inevitable outcome?

Coaches do not consider message board fans when considering joining a program.

We should get over our inflated opinions of ourselves.
Agreed! Much like we need to get over our inflated opinions of this football program.
